The Call of the Wild was released in the United States on February 21, 2020, by 20th Century Studios. It received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the "entertaining action and earnest tone" but criticized the "uncanny" CGI of the animals.[9] It was a box-office bomb, grossing $107 million against a production budget of $125–150 million, and lost the studio an estimated $50–100 million.
